Beginner to intermediate, on friendly beach-break waves — and the answer when the wind drops.
No wind? There's still surf.
Kite season runs November to April. From May to October the wind softens and most of Mui Ne goes quiet — but the waves keep coming. Surf also runs right through kite season, so a windless morning is never a wasted day.
First-timers
Board handling, paddling, pop-up on the sand, then straight into the whitewater. Almost everyone stands up in the first session.
Intermediate
Reading the set, paddling into unbroken waves, bottom turns and trimming along the face. Lý knows which sandbanks work on which swell.
What's included
Board, leash and instruction. Sessions run early morning or late afternoon when the wind is cleanest.
